Vaccinations
I went to the travel medicine clinic in April. Here's the scoop:
Recommended Vaccinations:
- Typhoid Fever (you will likely not have had this shot if you have not travelled)
- Tetanus (you should have had a booster around age 14-16)
- Hep A/B (Hep B, like tetanus, is part of regular vaccinations)
Recommended Medications (Optional):
- Altitude sickness medication (i.e. diamox, 125 mg, twice daily); http://www.traveldoctor.co.uk/altitude.htm
- Traveller's diarrhea medication (i.e. zithromax 500 mg * 3 days, Ciprofloxacin 500 mg); http://www.traveldoctor.co.uk/diarrhoea.htm
Please let me know if you have questions about vaccines and medications!
